Her smile dropped, for a moment. She met his eyes, something strange behind hers. “Yes… I guess I did. You helped me, too.” Exxy took a long sip of her tea and sat at the table again. “Thanks, love. I mean, I…” she sighed. “I’m sorry, this is all so strange. It’s all so different, now. But in a good way, I mean.” Exxy smiles warmly. “I’ve missed you, a lot.”
He blinked to the word ‘love’ but said nothing about it. “I’m sure it’s strange. We’ve got different sets of memories. But it’s all right. And I’m glad I will get to know you again, now. …I miss what I remember of you.”
Exxy smirked and took another long sip of her tea. “What all do you remember?” she asked, brushing a lock of hair from her face. “I’m just curious. Just so I know what to say that won’t confuse you, is all.”
