Exxy hovered a bit. “Do you… want me to help?” she began unsurely. She was such a mother hen by nature that it felt odd to be taken care of. “I can help with that.” She sighed and sat down. “Well, I’ve done a lot. After I left here, I was supposed to have surgery for my shoulder, but I regenerated before John could get back from Paris. I stayed with a good friend of mine, Jarvis, for awhile… Went off trying to save the world on my own. I had to travel by Vortex Manipulator. I missed the TARDIS so much…” Exxy smiled warmly and watched the kettle warily.
“Vortex Manipulator? Yeccch. Such cheap travel. Glad you could get back to a TARDIS, then.” The Doctor smiled at Exxy, and then jumped when the teakettle whistled. He poured them both a mug of tea, trying to settle his nerves. “…I’m getting a few memories of you now. Red hair. Lots of red hair.”
Exxy smirked and got up, leaning against the counter, watching him work. It was odd for her. She was so used to caring for him… but being there, having him care for himself… it wasn’t what she was accustomed to. She laughed a bit at the hair comment. “Yeah… it was a lot of hair, wasn’t it?” Exxy sighed. “I miss it a lot. I was ginger! And now I’m all indian. I mean, I’m not complaining.” She did a bit of a twirl and tripped, gripping the counter. “Well… I’m still a klutz.”
